For this brief I thought about the fact that people hide things – you can see a part of them, the part that they allow you to see, so I thought that taking portraits of people with part of their face concealed would be an interesting idea
My flatmate, Sarah’s face is more exposed than the others, because, since I came to uni, she has been the most open of my flatmates/friends, and I know her very well, she’s a very open person, in many ways, whereas the others are slightly more closed off (no offence to them <3)
I’m quite pleased with these photos, as they are all a bit personal.

Some of Rachel’s photos are a little blurred or not flattering, so I decided not to use them, and the one of Matt seemed a little too posed, so I decided against it.
